Anti-Cyber Boso Bill
The controversial Katrina Halili-Hayden Kho Scandal made the Congress speedy approved the House Bill 4315 on its second reading last May 28. Today is the last reading for the approval of the said bill.
Cyber Boso bill was authored by Buhay Party list Rep. Irwin Tieng criminalizes a person who takes or possesses an indecent “video tape, disc record,” or “replay” or “share, relay or exhibit the contents thereof in any form. If proven guilty as charge, the violator will be jailed from 6 months to 6 years and a penalty of Php 100,000 to Php 500,000.
I’m hoping for the immediate approval of cyber boso bill. Meanwhile, the Senate also have almost the same bill authored by Senator Pia Cayetano, Senate Bill 3267, or the “Anti-Video Voyeurism Act of 2009,” which “seeks to prohibit and penalize the recording of private acts as well as of the distribution or exhibition of such recordings without the consent of the person involved.”
Whichever of the two bill is ok, sanctions are almost the same, as long as these offenders get what they deserve for exploiting pinays. In the first place, the problem existed long ago before Katrina Halili came out, huwag naman sana ningas kugon sa mga bills na natatatabunan na. We don’t need another Katrina Halili to open our eyes that we need a new bill against sa mga kampon ni Hayden Kho.
