Since Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho video scandal was already in Senate, some pinoys are accusing the politicians who helped Katrina Halili that they are using her or this case for political reasons.
Katrina Halili asked Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla’s help since the said senator is also from movie industry and a celebrity as well. I could say that Senator Bong Revilla was really mad after learning the details of the case and expressed it on interviews. After it was reported in media (TV, Internet, radio etc), the fallowing day, a picture of scandal of Senator circulated in the blogosphere. A bad propaganda to divert the issue to the Senator and not to the real issue of “Hayden Camera”.
The Senate investigation stemmed from the privilege speech of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr entitled “A Doctor’s Perversity”.
The senate hearing was assigned to Senator Ma. Ana Consuelo ‘Jamby’ Madrigal, chairman of the Senate committee on youth, women, and family relations.
Its not true that ex-policeman Abner Afuang splash water to Dr. Hayden Kho during the hearing, it was when Katrina Halili was entering the session hall and about to sit to her designated chair. Abner Afuang is also former Pagsanjan, Laguna Mayor. His life was portrayed by Phillip Salvador in 1988 movie, Afuang: Bounty Hunter. Is he planning to run again in politics? I still remember his name and reputation but I almost forgot him until I saw him on live telecast of the said senate hearing dousing water to Hayden Kho. He was arrested and spent the night at Pasay City Police Headquarters and released yesterday afternoon. He went on hunger strike while on Pasay City Police. If my memory serves me right, he also did that in real life.
Senator Revilla apologized for saying that Afuang make a scene as part of a script to get sympathy for embattled Kho. Let’s see what will happen next on the next hearing of Hayden Cam. I’m hoping for speedy investigation and pass the cybercrime law as soon as possible.
