Jun Lozada Arrested For Perjury

29 April 2009 No Comment

The sensational NBN-ZTE personality Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada was arrested this afternoon from his safehouse at the De La Salle University (DLSU) in Greenhills, San Juan City. The warrant of arrest issued by MTC (Metropolitan Trial Court) of Manila Branch 26 after its ruling was reversed by Judge Cicero Jurado Jr. of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 11. The case perjury filed by Michael Defensor was earlier dismissed.

On July 4, 2008, former Presidential Chief of Staff Mike Defensor filed a perjury lawsuit against Lozada for testifying under oath that Defensor had paid Lozada P50,000 to change his statement that he was not kidnapped at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport when he arrived from Hong Kong at the height of the Philippine National Broadband Network controversy. – source Wikipedia

Reportedly, NBN ZTE witness Jun Lozada will not post bail that it will prolong the hearing and his family will be affected again just like what happened last year. He was again accompanied by Big Brother’s House nuns and will be detained in Manila City Jail.

There are many cases already happened, happening and will be happening especially with the kind of justice system we have in the Philippines… and the 2010 Election is next year. There are many speculations that Jun Lozada will also be a candidate and I’m sure Michael Defensor will run again and this case is part of his agenda to clear his name.

With this latest development, I bet, filipinos still supports Lozada not because he have political ambition but he needs justice. We all do.
