Mike Velarde For President?

26 September 2008 2 Comments

mike_velardeThere are rumors that Bro. Mariano “Mike” Velarde, leader of Catholic charismatic group El Shaddai will run for President on 2010 election according to the TV news footage I watched. We all know his influence to El Shaddai group, in fact he is one of influencial personalities woo by political candidates so they will endorse by Mike Velarde. If Mike Velarde endorse a candidate, it is a sure win to El Shaddai group.

What if Mike Velarde won the presidential race? OMG, I can’t imagine the impression the world will give the Philippines having a president wearing red or green or blue or checkered (?) coat and bow tie. President as the highest position of the country, he/she represents Filipino community in the world. Its odd that I happen to read Ramon Tulfo’s column regarding this. Check this link. I have nothing against Mike Velarde and El Shaddai group but we are talking about the president position of the country and not religious group.

    Well.
He is a natural born citizen of the Philippines
    In right age for candidacy
    Can read and right
    I admire leaders now specially
those from different sectors of the society
stepping out of the four corners
of the church and their comfort zones.
Its is time that God be lifted up to Malacanang

Let us be responsible on voting the right one!
    Bangon!
